Lions vs. Rams at SoFi Stadium: Finding Purpose in the Play for The Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation

Jared Goff and Jameson Williams

Last week, our team had the privilege of capturing the Detroit Lions’ matchup against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium — this time on behalf of the Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation, an organization we’ve had the honor of working alongside many times over the years. While the final score didn’t fall in Detroit’s favor in the 41–34 matchup, the game was filled with moments that reminded us why storytelling in sports matters far beyond the scoreboard.

The Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation has long stood for mentorship, preparation, and opportunity — values that align deeply with how we approach our work. Being trusted to document this game through that lens added another layer of meaning to every frame we captured. It wasn’t just about photographing a prime-time matchup; it was about documenting resilience, leadership, and the lessons found in competition.

From the opening drive, the Lions came out with intensity and purpose. Jared Goff delivered a strong performance, throwing three touchdown passes in the first half, commanding the offense with confidence and precision. His ability to stay poised under pressure gave us some of the most powerful moments of the night — moments that reflect preparation and belief, even when momentum shifts.

Detroit Lions Jameson Williams

Wide receiver Jameson Williams brought that same energy to the field. His 31-yard touchdown reception showcased his speed, focus, and ability to rise in big moments. Capturing his movement and emotion — the split second between effort and execution — reminded us why moments like these deserve to be preserved.

Defensively, the Lions made an early statement as well. Aidan Hutchinson’s 58-yard interception return electrified the stadium and shifted the tone of the game, reinforcing how quickly opportunity can appear when preparation meets instinct — a principle that mirrors the Foundation’s mission in developing young leaders both on and off the field.

Although the Rams ultimately pulled ahead in the second half, the Lions never lost their fight. Every snap reflected grit, unity, and belief — the same qualities the Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation instills in the youth and communities it serves. In many ways, the outcome of the game echoed real life: growth doesn’t always come from winning, but from showing up, staying disciplined, and learning through adversity.

For us, documenting this game on behalf of the Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation was a reminder of why we continue to partner with organizations that stand for something bigger. Sports photography isn’t just about action — it’s about capturing moments where purpose, mentorship, and performance intersect.

When we tell stories like this, we’re not just capturing football — we’re preserving lessons, legacy, and the belief that every moment, win or lose, has meaning.
