To kick off Women’s History Month, we had the honor of capturing a vibrant and meaningful event hosted by 1 Girl Revolution, founded by Emmy-nominated producer, speaker, and storyteller Kate Milligan. The event, The Power of Her, was a celebration of women in Detroit — their voices, their work, and their power to change the world through their lives.
1 Girl Revolution is a nonprofit multimedia organization dedicated to lifting up the stories of everyday women and girls who are making impact across industries and communities. Their mission centers on the belief that every woman has a story, every woman has a voice, and every woman has the power to change the world through her life. Through podcasts, documentaries, interviews, and events like The Power of Her, the organization amplifies narratives that often go unheard.
The evening was filled with energy, connection, and celebration. Guests enjoyed mocktails and cocktails, charcuterie, dancing, and a chance to connect with incredible women from a variety of backgrounds. From artists and photographers to authors, mothers, daughters, jewelry makers, and more, the room was a reflection of the diverse ways women contribute to our community and culture.
A fun and interactive highlight of the night was the 360 Booth, brought by our team to document the joy and energy of the event. It added an element of play and memory-making that perfectly matched the spirit of the evening.
Our CEO Leo was invited to give the opening remarks and introduce Kate Milligan, setting the tone for a night of empowerment, appreciation, and inspiration. Women who made the event possible shared introductions and spoke about the organizations and companies they lead, highlighting the strength, passion, and resilience that define their work.
Every woman in attendance helped create an environment rooted in celebration and support.
