This week, I had the opportunity to witness something far bigger than an event. Flow for a Cause, hosted by JoJo Dries in partnership with YogaSix, was a full hot yoga day created to raise awareness for domestic violence survivors, with all proceeds benefiting On The Wings of Angels. Together, the event raised more than $2,000, but the impact reached far beyond numbers.
What made this experience especially powerful was knowing that many people in the room were survivors themselves. The space felt intentional, safe, and deeply healing. It was not just about movement, it was about presence, release, and community. Every breath and every pose carried meaning, turning the studio into a place of reflection and restoration.

Watching JoJo stand in front of the room was something I will not forget. It was not a lecture or a teaching moment in the traditional sense. It felt like an offering, a moment of honor, calm, and strength. She spoke with purpose and compassion, creating space for people to feel seen and supported. There was a quiet power in the room that stayed with me long after the day ended.

The event also highlighted the mission of Jojo Dries and On The Wings of Angels, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting domestic violence survivors through advocacy, resources, and community support. Their work is rooted in compassion and action, helping survivors rebuild their lives with dignity and hope. Seeing that mission come to life through an event like this reinforced how meaningful impact happens when people come together with intention.

Flow for a Cause reminded me why I love being part of moments like this. It was healing, purposeful, and rooted in care. Experiences like these go beyond documentation, they stay with you. They remind you that storytelling is not only about what you capture, but about honoring the courage, resilience, and humanity unfolding right in front of you.
